Special Educational Needs and Disability
Providing for Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) is a key part of a successful inclusive school. At River Beach Primary there is a shared expectation that all children regardless of their specific needs should be offered inclusive quality teaching which will enable them to make the best possible progress and feel that they are a valued member of the wider school community.
This section of our website aims to help parents/carers by providing an outline of what we can offer here at River Beach Primary.
Our S.E.N.D. information is designed to answer some of the questions parents/carers may have.
Local authorities and other services have set out a local offer of all services available to support children who are disabled or who have SEN and their families. The local offer will enable families to understand what services they can access and what support they can expect from a range of local agencies, including from the local authority, health services, schools, leisure services and the voluntary sector. The offer will include provision from birth to 25, across education, health and social care.
