HMS Victory Trip

We had an amazing time on our visit to HMS Victory. We learnt lots of interesting facts like; it was called a square meal because the plates were square, they are only called cannons when they are on lands and guns when they are on board and they had maggots in their biscuits – urgh! We were very excited that we were walking around and exploring Lord Nelson’s ship. We saw where he slept, had his dinner, saw his uniform and even saw where he got shot and died. Do you know what happened to him after he died? We looked around the museum and saw lots of interesting and interactive activities to help us understand what it was like to be a member of the crew – we decided it would be very hard and not very nice!
