Children at River Beach use the Internet on a regular basis as part of their learning.
In school, we have regular online safety activities to remind children of the importance of keeping themselves safe online.
We have created this leaflet that we hope that you find useful to support your child when they are using the internet at home.
Do you worry about the links your child can make with strangers on games and other social messaging sites? Go to Net Aware where you can find out more.
Are you worried about ‘screen time’? If so, this leaflet may be of interest.
Some children have also created videos about staying safe online, an example of which can be see below:
This site is a great place to visit for advice about Online Safety for parents.
We support national initiatives, such as Safer Internet Day in February each year to keep all these issues current with our school community members.
If you are looking to read our online safety policy, then please look at our Online Safety Policy.
If you have any worries or questions, please do not hesitate in contacting your child’s teacher or Mrs. Bingham.
